When Your Chapstick Just Isn’t Good Enough For Your Lips!

June 13, 2018

When your chapstick just isn’t doing it for you. Chapped, cracked lips 👄 or skin can be due to dehydration when you aren’t producing enough natural oils of the skin beneath it. Or perhaps due to exposure to the cold or repeated contact with chemicals or fungal infection or lack of essential fatty acids in the body.

💨 🌧 ❄️ ⛄️
Now that it’s winter here, my daughter tends to get itchy chapped cracked lips. I want to make something easy for her to use, so I made her a blend for her lips and dried skin in a 10ml Roll-on:

•10 Drops of Lavender -Is calming and healing for the skin.
•5 Drops of Tea Tree (Melaleuca)-  Helps reduce germs causing skin irritants as well as natural numbing to sensitive skin.
•5 Drops of Neroli- Is calming and helps with skin repair.
•5 Drops of Jasmine- Is calming and reduces skin blemishes.
•Fill the rest with Fractionated coconut oil-  Naturally moisturising but not greasy.  Helps other oils absorb more easily.
👄💄👌🏼

Apply consistently, every 2-3 hours preferably, on lips or dry skin to reduce itching, redness and irritation.

Other oils for lips and skin to consider:

•Peppermint- for cooling the itch (use small amount only!)
•Rose Touch- Super healing 🤜🏼
•Geranium- calming to the skin
•Roman Chamomile- calming to the skin
•Helichrysum- helps repair damage to the skin and reduces pain.
