Ant invasion? Learn how to repel them naturally!

December 19, 2017

I’ve been getting ants in my house once in a while, although annoying as they are, it was easily manageable… until…….. we spilled a sweet drink by our back door.   Then, all hell broke loose and suddenly we were at war!  The ants decided it was an open invitation to come inside and raid my house.  I felt sick, and stressed as it seemed like they moved their whole colony into my house and kept coming back!

I heard Peppermint oil works to repel them.  They only seemed slightly bothered by it,  just crawled around it and kept marching on.  I also heard citrus oils repel ants, but they didn’t care either!  I wiped the floor and walls with peppermint, vinegar and water but they just kept marching in.  I tried Tea Tree oil in the mix too as well as chilli powder around my back door, but these ants were stubborn through and through.

I was at my wits-end and was about to run out to buy some poison when I thought I’d try two more oils.  I put Peppermint, a tiny bit of vinegar, water, arborvitae oil and CLOVE oil in a small glass spray bottle.   I went around the house, cracks, walls, back door and sprayed like a crazy woman.  And O M G, the ants scattered and ran for their lives.  I sprayed along all the ant trails, giving special attention to the entry way in the gaps in my back door, the gaps in my floorboard, windowsills, around the edges outside my back door and following it to the trails outside.  All I could say was WOW.  They disappeared.  I checked my doors, my cabinets, my floors, my honey jar but they’re all gone.  They’ve moved out as fast as suddenly as they came.  Clove oil has saved me!  Apparently clove oil can kill ants as well as being healthy and safe for the family.  It’s my new discovery and will be using this oil as a repellant from now on.  If you or anyone you know have any trouble with ants, then this is the oil for you!  Try it out and see how amazing it is!
